Creating and being part of a team

  • Firstly, Relay for Life is free to enter. To create a team, you will need about 8 - 15 people. Children can take part and be registered and dogs are welcome on the day too.

  • You will need a team name to register. This can be very sensible (perhaps to promote your business or profession) or very silly, e.g. Liquorice Allsorts, Proper Wallies, Superheroes, Cancer Crusaders.

  • To register your team, the team captain will need to visit the website to set up the team and password -

    https://in.justgiving.events/relay-for-life-pontypool-2024?currentPage=select-competition

These details can then be shared with other team mates to register.

  • Once registered you will receive an email with a link to claim your Just Giving page, a welcome email with fundraising information and a link to buy a relay t-shirt. T-shirts can be worn when fundraising, raising awareness and of course, on relay weekend.

  • Relayers can personalised both their team and individual online fundraising pages. Information can include photos as well as why they are relaying and fundraising. The links for the page can then be shared to raise donations.

  • Our team chair Mike is available to support our Relay for Life teams with fundraising. He can provide CRUK banners, posters, buckets, etc. At times throughout the year, he can also offer bucket collection dates to help raise worthwhile funds.

  • Once you have registered, Mike will be in touch to support your Relay for Life journey. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please find us on social media or feel free to contact us.
